Braid chopping: Army resorts to aerial firing in Kulgam village

Protests erupted in Kulgam after army resorted to ariel firing to allegedly save a braid chopper caught by locals. Locals of Chimmar village near DH Pora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district claimed that they caught hold of a braid chopper in their village who was a non-local. The police were on spot to pacify the protesters.

“Soon as the locals claimed of getting hold of the hair chopper army soldiers arrived at the scene and started firing in air,” local sources was quoted by a news portal.

They said that soon the army personnel took the alleged hair chopper along and went away.

This angered locals who came out of their homes in large numbers raising anti-army ad anti-India slogans.

They were alleging army of being directly involved in the braid chopping incidents in south Kashmir which has already created fear among the locals.

The protests were going on when reports last came in and the local police were trying to pacify the protesters.
