Government forces on Monday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation in Gulshan Pora village of  Tral town in Pulwama district of Southern Kashmir.

As per police sources, the search operation was launched after receiving inputs about the presence of the militants in the area.

Sources said that the government forces in large numbers have reached the area and are conducting the operation in the area.

The search operation was going on when last reports came in.

Earlier cordon and search operation was launched in Dangerpora area of Pulwama district, that ended peacefully.
