Two including foreign tourist die in road mishaps

Two people including a tourist died in separate road mishaps across Kashmir Valley, while as five persons suffered injuries during these mishaps, a police spokesman said Saturday.

According to the reports, Bilal Ahmad Jigi of Sarafkadal died when his motorbike collided with another motorcycle at Maloora village near HMT Srinagar.

Ahmad was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. Another injured was taken to a nearby hospital where he is said to be in critical condition.

A tourist died in Leh, when a Xylo vehicle bearing registration number JK10A-4332 driven by Jigmeth Singay met with an accident at Changla in Nyoma, resulting in on spot death of one tourist and injuries to three tourists. The tourists belonged to Thailand. The injured persons were shifted to SNM Hospital Leh for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In Budgam, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04C-7108 driven by Aijaz Ahmad Bhat resident of Khanpora Beerwah hit and injured a pedestrian namely Fayaz Ahmad Wani resident of Kandoora at Kandoora in Beerwah. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Beerwah for treatment where from he was shifted to JVC Hospital for further treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
