Ganderbal police arrested on Friaday claimed to have arrested four gamblers and seized stake money of Rs 8,290 from the gambling spot.

Acting on a tip off, Police party of Police Station Shadipora under the supervision of DO Shadipora Tawseef Habib raided a gambling site at Wakura in Ganderbal and arrested four gamblers identified as as Bashir Ahmad Wani son of Mohd.Ismail resident of Sumbal Sonawari, Javid Ahmad Sheikh son of Gh.Mohd.Sheikh resident of Nawhatta Srinagar, Bashir Ahmad Waza son of Gh.Mohudin Waza resident of Sumbal Sonawari, Tariq Ahmad Wani son of Gh.Ahmad Wani resident of Sumbal Sonawari, police spokesman said.

He said that stake money of Rs 8,290 and gambling cards were seized from the gambling site.

A case FIR number 189/2017 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
