Give up ego and fulfill promises: Er Rasheed to New Delhi 

Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) president and MLA Langate, Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh on Wednesday appealed New Delhi to give up ego and fulfill the promise of providing the ‘Right to Self-Determination to Kashmiris’.

According to the statement issue here, Er Rasheed appealed Kashmiris to remain united and fight for their rights without surrendering.

Addressing an impressive annual day function of Syed Baha-u-din Memorial High School Kanispora Baramulla, MLA Langate said that Kashmiris neither lack talent nor commitment but their skills have been kept hostage because of the political uncertainty since 1947.

“Holding plebiscite on both sides of LoC is the best way to implement Indian parliament resolution and New Delhi should not be scared of the outcome of the plebiscite if it truly believes J&K to be its integral part and Kashmiris its own people. Many forces are bent to mislead New Delhi by not representing the real picture of aspirations of Kashmiri people and it is high time for New Delhi to change its Kashmir policy,” he said.

Er Rasheed urged for allowing investment in Private Sector in the state for establishing professional colleges and institutions and said that the move will end the sufferings of thousands of students who have to use all their energy in searching the best institutions all across India.

He also appealed government to ease out process of finding jobs in India and aboard for educated job aspirants and said that Kashmiris are capable of proving their talent and worth in any corner of the world.

On the occasion, AIP president inaugurated a new School building for the institution.
