The Srinagar-Jammu highway was blocked on Wednesday due to landslides in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Huge boulders came rolling down from a hilltop on the highway at Peera, blocking the movement of vehicles on the highway,” an official said.
Consequently, men and machinery have been pressed into service to restore the movement of traffic on the highway, he said.
