Authorities have decided to close higher secondary schools and colleges as “preventive measure” in Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Monday. 

 

“Class work in all the higher secondary schools and colleges in district Kupwara shall remain suspended for tomorrow ( 28/08/2017) in view of preventive measures,” said Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir in a statement issued.

 

However, he said, staff members shall attend their respective institutions. The educational institutions in district have remained closed since August 24 following the killing of youth from Handwara alleged in fake encounter.
