Army chief to arrive in Leh today

Nearly a week after soldiers of China’s People’s Liberation Army scuffled with Indian soldiers in Ladakh region, army chief General Bipin Rawat will arrive in Leh today on a three-day visit to take a stock of the situation.

“During his three-day visit, the army chief will take stock of security preparedness along the border with China as well as discuss key operational matters with top commanders,” the source said.
