A mysterious blast near the office of ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) created panic here at Jawahar Nagar area of city on Saturday evening.
The explosion near J-2 quarter that houses BJP office triggered panic in the area.
Soon after the explosion , a police party led by SHO Rajbagh has been dispatched to the spot to asses the situation and ascertain the facts.
However SHO Rajbagh, Ghulam Moihuddin has ruled out that the blast was caused by a grenade explosion.
“I am on spot and the nature of blast is being ascertained. However it was not a grenade explosion because such no damage has occurred,” SHO said.
No loss of life or injury has occurred in the explosion.
