Forces lay siege to around a dozen-odd villages in south Kashmir district 

 

A major Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) has been launched by government forces on Saturday in around a dozen-odd villages of Shopian in south Kashmir.

According to sources, after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area, a joint team of 62 RR of army, 14th Bn of CRPF and SOG of J&K police launched the search operation in about ten villages including Dangam, Wangam, Zaipora, Mantribug and adjoining villages.

Earlier this year on May 4, same kind of operation was launched by forces in dozen odd villages of Shopian district.
