Clashes have erupted between youth and government forces in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The clashes started in the native place of the slain militant Danish who was killed in an encounter yesterday, after a group of youth appeared at Down town area and started pelting stones on forces.
Consequently, the forces retaliated by lobbing pellets and tear gas shells to disperse the stone pelting youth in which one person namely Imtiyaz Ahmad sustained pellet injuries on his back.
He was rushed to SDH Sopore from where doctors referred him to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.
Meanwhile Sopore town today is observing complete shutdown , mourning the death of three militants.
Earlier, in some parts of town including main Chowk, Bus stand, down town, and Iqbal market areas, some youth pelted stones on private transport to ensure shut down is observed in Sopore.
