Protests erupted in Nutnusa village of Kupwara after people fell sick due to contaminated water in the area.

According to the sources, the people were protesting against Public Health Engineering department as about 40 persons were hospitalized due to waterborne disease last night.

Reports said that the locals have blocked the Handwara-Kupwara Highway.
