CUK’s capacity dev prog for outsource employees concludes

A capacity development programme organised by the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in collaboration with Sahayata Security Services for the outsource employees concluded at the administrative cum academic block Nowgam Campus-II here today. The programme started on 10th of July 2017.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir, Director Research and Development, Prof. Muhammad Aslam, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Finance Officer, Bashir Ahmad Haji and other functionaries of the varsity and outsource employees were present at the valedictory function.

Addressing the outsource staff, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir asked them to utilize the knowledge and learning from the programme in day today working and affairs of the university. “Whatever the experts and other guest speakers including the officers of the varsity have taught you during the programme, you should implement it in letter and spirit in your working at the respective departments,” Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir said and asked the employees to work with more zeal and zest for  the overall development of the university.

He said the university was seized of the issues and problems confronting the outsource employees and was doing every bit to redress their grievances, if any.

Sharing his thought about the programme, Director, Research and Development, Prof. Muhammad Aslam, said the outsource employees have been doing a commendable job since the inception of the university. “These employees are working in tandem with the substantive staff and are giving their best performances,” he said. Prof. Aslam advocated for giving more benefits to the outsource staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar said the capacity-building programme would have been an eye opener for the employees as experts from diverse fields gave detailed lectures on various important topics including Finance, Purchase, Internal Audit, Administration etc. He asked the employees to work with utmost dedication in association with other administrative and teaching staff members of the university in order to make the university an institution par excellence.

Finance Officer, Bashir Ahmad Haji, while addressing the gathering said that more such programmes would be held in near future to hone the skills of the outsource staff. He thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir for his support in this endeavor.

Deputy Registrar, Administration, Dr. Javed Wani conducted the programme proceedings while as Private Secretary to Finance Officer , Ishtiyaq proposed the vote of thanks.
