Narcotic drugs worth crores seized in Uri

Police claimed to have seized 25-kilograms of narcotic drugs from a truck part of cross LoC trade at Trade centre Salamabad, Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

According to police, the consignment weighing 25 kg was hidden in boxes purportedly to contain mercantile goods.

“Baramulla Police had a very specific information about the fact that large quantity of Narcotic Drugs are to be carried by some Pakistan Administered Kashmir borne truck towards this side by means of Cross LOC trade”, a police officer said.

Truck driver namely Syed Yousuf S/O Ali Akbar R/O Muzaffarabad PaK has been taken into custody and is being questioned.
