The historical Mughal road was today thrown open for Heavy Motor Vehicles.

According to the SSP Traffic, Rural Kashmir, the Mughal Road is through for Heavy Motor Vehicles. All the un-laden empty trucks and fruit laden trucks (6 tyre trucks only) except multi axle vehicles can adopt Mughal Road from Srinagar to Jammu.

Accordingly, the movement of HMVs shall continue to be one-way till further orders and movement of these vehicles (HMVs) from Shopian towards Behramgalla shall be allowed on alternate days.

The SSP further informed that the movement of these vehicles shall be allowed strictly between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm only and all the vehicles shall cross Peer Ki Gali before 5:00 pm, everyday.
