The Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries (ASH&F), Abdul Gani Kohli, on Sunday visited Bota Pathri, Tangmarg and Gulmarg areas of Baramulla and took stock of the activities of the Fisheries, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments in these areas.

At Tangmarg, Kohli instructed the authorities to reconstruct the Fisheries Hut, which was gutted in fire, on modern lines keeping in mind the area’s appeal to the tourists.

He inspected the recreation pond at Gulmarg and asked it to be renovated.

Kohli asked the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department at Bota Pathri to ensure proper vaccination of livestock in the area.

Several delegations of nomads apprised him of the issues faced by them. He instructed the concerned officers to take a note of the issues and assured the locals that their demands would be looked into.
