Jammu-Srinagar highway reopened for traffic

The Jammu-Srinagar Highway was today reopened for traffic after remaining suspended for a day due to heavy rains in Ramban and Udhampur districts.

“Traffic on the highway has been restored with the rest of the country after suspension due to landslides triggered by heavy overnight rains,” police officials said.

The highway was closed following landslides triggered by rains in Udhampur and Ramban districts yesterday.
