One person of a family died on the spot, while mother-daughter duo was critically injured when the vehicle they were travelling in, collided with another vehicle, on National Highway at Jawbehara area of Awantipora in South Kashmir today.

According to the sources, a Maruti 800 car was on its way near Jawbehara area, when it collided with Tempo traveller, 2 km from Awantipora on NH1A, resulting on the spot death of one person and injuries to two persons including a wife and daughter of deceased.

The injured were shifted to Pampore hospital, where their condition is said to be critical. Sources said that the deceased is the resident of Munzgam Kulgam. However, their identity is yet to be ascertained.
