Anantnag police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 105 pouches of whisky in Dooru.

Acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Dooru laid a naka in their jurisdiction, police said.

During naka checking a Load Carrier bearing registration number JK03E-3821 driven by Umar Gulzar Ganie son of Gulzar Ahmad resident of Furah, Anantnag was intercepted.

On checking about 27 litres of whisky packed in 105 pouches was recovered from the vehicle.

A case FIR number 65/2017 under section 50 Excise Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
