Educational institutions shut in Jammu after shutdown call over Anantnag attack

Authorities on Tuesday closed all educational institutions and suspended internet facility here in Jammu district to maintain law and order in the aftermath of the attack in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Seven pilgrims were killed and 19 others were injured in the attack last night.

“All educational institutions in Jammu district shall remain shut today (Tuesday) as a precautionary measure,” a senior police officer told a news gathering agency,

Jammu Chamber of Commerce and opposition party National Conference has called for a shutdown today in Jammu to pay homage to the slain yatris.
