In order to promote Wushu in the state, Wushu championship was held in Srinagar on July 4 that concluded on Thursday.

The championship was organised by J&K Wushu Association and sponsored by J&K State sports council. Ranging from age groups of above 8 and below 18 years, more than 550 Wushu players participated in the championship.

Secretary, Wushu Association Srinagar informed that championship was held in 50 categories .Players from Wushu clubs of Srinagar and different schools also participated in the championship.

He further said the response of the players during the championship was overwhelmed.

Earlier, during the inauguration of the championship, International Cricketer Parvez Rasool was present. He interacted with players and wished them good luck for their matches and appreciated the efforts of organizers.
