DDC directs JKPCC officers to expedite work on war-footing basis

District Development Commissioner Kulgam Thursday chaired a meeting to review the implementation of DDB decisions and progress made under different sectors here.

The DDC took a detailed review of different sectors and schemes of education, health, social welfare, R&B, PDD, PHE, ICDS, convergence, sanitation and other district sectors.

While reviewing the works of education department being executed by RDD and R&B, the meeting was informed that besides ongoing schemes, 53 new schemes have been approved, the estimation process of which shall be completed in next ten days.

The DDC directed for inter-departmental coordination between Education, RDD and R&B departments so that execution work could be expedited.

Taking the review of health sector, the official gave a detailed presentation about the progress of different schemes like JNM, NRHM, JSY, RVS, GSST and the progress of execution work of different PHCs.

Similarly, the DDC directed the officers of JKPCC to expedite the work on war-footing basis. Besides, he directed the CMO to project the demand for completion of SDH Qaimoh.

The DDC was apprised that Shamsipora Bridge shall be completed by August this year while as Ashmuji Bridge would be completed by the end of this year.

While reviewing the PHE sector, it was given out that Tengam-Tengbal WSS has been completed at a cost of Rs. 19 crore.

Giving the details of power scenario in e district, the meeting was informed that RAPDRP, DDUGJY, and other schemes are being implemented in the district.      

The DDC directed all the officers to educate the public about different schemes so that people, at large, are benefitted from these schemes.

Meanwhile, he directed all the executing agencies like R&B, JKPCC, Police Housing Corporation, RDD to expedite the execution process so that decisions taken by DDB meeting are implemented well on time.

The meeting was attended by SE PDD, Principal  GDC Kulgam, Chief Planning Officer, DPO, ACR, CMO, ACD, DSWO, Exens of R&B, PHE, PDD, District officers of Horticulture, Floriculture, Agriculture,  Sheep  Husbandry,  Labour, Handloom and other concerned departments.
