India and Pakistani Armies on Saturday exchanged heavy fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.
According to an Army official, Pakistan Army resorted to “unprovoked” and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 11:30 am in Poonch to which Indian Army retaliated “strongly and effectively”.
So far no reports of any causalities were reported on either sides of the LoC.
