Clashes erupted between protesters and government forces in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday, after forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), reports said.
According to the sources, the CASO was launched in Naid Mohallah Hajin after input about the presence of militants.
Following the input personnel of 14RR along with SOG and CRPF started the operation however scores of youth took to streets and started pelting stones on forces to help disrupt the operation.Forces lobbed tear gas shells to disperse the protesters triggering clashes in the area.
Meanwhile, the CASO and clashes were going on no when reports last came in.
