A Wild bear attacked a forest team in Compartment Number 64 in Shangus area of Anantnag district today evening.
The team of Social Forestry had gone to Compartment 64 for some official work when a Bear attacked them.
One employee identified as Abdul Rehman Bhat got critically injured and was shifted to district hospital Anantnag for treatment.
Range Officer Shafqat Ahmad Zargar, DO Achabal, Shabir Ahmad Shah, DO Daksum Mohammad Yousuf Wani and some other team members had a narrow escape.
