The daily wagers of the mechanical section of Department of Public Health Engineering Irrigation and Flood Control (PHE), on Monday, staged a protest to press their demand of wages.
Eyewitnesses said that several PHE Mechanical Division employees raised slogans against the government demanding wages. “The protesting employees were also demanding regularization of their services.”
Meanwhile, the president of the daily wagers said that the government is forcing us to hit the roads.
He said, “This is injustice with us as we are working since 1994. Instead of looking into our demands, the government prefers those IT employees, who were appointed recently. If our demand is not fulfilled we will hit the streets.”
