Anantnag Police Monday arrested a bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police statement, “while acting on a specific tip-off, a police party headed by SHO Bijbehara Shri Arshid Ahmad laid a naka near Eidgah crossing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara.”
While naka checking, the statement said that “one person identified as Aadil Ahmad Mandoo son of Mohammad Amin, a resident of Sangam was intercepted.”
Police said that 32 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession.
In this connection, Anantnag police has registered a case FIR number 64/17 under section 48 F Excise Act and investigation was taken up.
