320 teams take part in cricket championship 

Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, on Saturday, met the players during the final match of junior cricket Championship and encouraged them to play in a sportsman spirit.

The championship was organized by the State Sports Council and the final match was played between Sumbal and Zainapora teams of Shopian.

This championship was conducted for the first time by the Sports Council in collaboration with DPS. A total of 320 teams, 4800 players from across the Valley participated in the tournament in which 319 matches were played.

Minister for IT, Youth Services and Sports, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari, legislators, Aijaz Mir and Raja Manzoor, Secretary Youth Services and Sports, Hilal Parray, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, J&K Sports Council Secretary, Waheed ur Rehman Parra, Principal and management of DPS, Athwajan and a large number of cricket lovers were present on the occasion.
