Stating that Banquet halls will be constructed in various districts by the department, Custodian General, J&K Ajaz Ahmad Bhat on Wednesday said the amount lying with various government department on account of evacuee property will be liquidated in a time bound manner.

Bhat also stressed on generation of income units on the evacuee property on modern lines in the State and said evacuee properties need to be preserved and to be retrieved back from the illegal occupants.

“The concerned departments will be bound to pay the amount of premium, rent charges admissible as per norms in vogue to the Director General Custodian Evacuee Properties J&K,” Bhat in an official handout said.

Bhat emphasized for recovery of revenue and achievement of target fixed for the current financial year and initiating immediate process for revision of rent of evacuees property houses, shops and land in accordance with the provisions of J&K Evacuees (Administration of property) Act Svt.2006.
