A Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number HR5I AP-O671 hit and injured a minor namely Huzaif Ahmad Khatana Son of Muneeb Ahmad Khatana resident of Dandipora on Sunday. The injured minor was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kokernag for treatment where from he was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag, but succumbed to his injuries on way.
The accused driver fled away from the spot with his vehicle.
Meanwhile Kokernag Police headed by SHO Kokernag Shri Tariq Yousuf arrested the accused driver identified as Subzar Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Rashid Ganie resident of Taragam Qazigund and seized the vehicle. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation of the case is going on.
