Intense clashes have erupted between government forces and the students in North Kashmir’s Sopore town on Thursday.
As per the sources, the students of Boys Higher Secondary School, Sopore pelted stones on forces personnel who were deployed on the main gate of the school triggering clashes.
Thereafter, the forces fired tear gas to disperse the protesting students.
Scores of tear gas shells were also lobbed inside the school premises, sources said.
Meanwhile clashes were also reported from Central Kashmir’s Magam town, South Kashmir’s Dooru and North Kashmir’s Langate.
Pertinently student protests have intensified in Kashmir valley since the government forces’ action on the students of Pulwama Degree College on April 12.
