NC lauds philanthropic effort in mitigating peoples’ sufferings

 

Provincial President Youth National Conference Jammu, Ajaz Jan on Friday lauded the philanthropic effort of voluntary organizations to serve people in need, especially during natural calamities, saying that this is imperative for reducing human sufferings.

 “Voluntary and non-governmental organizations can play their vital role in providing succor to those in distress, especially during natural calamities”, Mr Jan said while being felicitated by a NGO for his crucial role in seeking redressal to the problems of border people.

Jan said that service to humanity is service to God and keeping this spirit alive will inspire younger generations to mitigate sufferings of the people. He said in the present day materialistic age, working for fellow human beings is laudable.

“This is the silver lining in the otherwise grim scenario of intolerance and hatred”, he said and urged the organizers to expand their reach of operations so that people in disadvantageous, far-flung and border areas.

The YNC Provincial President appreciated involvement of youth with the NGO saying that this is a redeeming factor of channelizing their energies in a proper way. “They are needed to be motivated in a big way for extending all assistance to needy”, Mr Jan maintained.

The functionaries of the Khalsa Aid presented a memento and a citation to Mr Ajaz Jan for his crucial role in serving the border people, especially during most pressing situations.

Jan expressed his gratitude to the functionaries for recognizing his services.
