Police foils AIP’s march to BB Cantt

Police today foiled Awami Ithaad Party (AIP’s) protest march to Badami Bagh cantonment against using 27 year old Farooq Ahmad Dar as human shield

 According to the statement issued, the AIP spokesman said hundreds of protestors lead by MLA Langate, Engineer Rasheed started their march from Sonawar. Shouting slogans, “Human Shield Down Down” “UN wakeup” and “Nayee Delhi say rishta Kya, Jabri Qabza aur kya”, the marchers were stopped by a large contingent of police and para-military forces near the main gate of 15 corps headquarters.

The spokesman said protestors resisted, however forces went hammer and tongs to disperse the march. Near a dozen protestors including Er Rasheed were detained and lodged in police station Ram Munshi Bagh.

 Er Rasheed while talking to media persons said that Beewa and Pulwama incidents have busted the myth of being the most disciplined army.

 “Using innocent unarmed civilians as human shields and beating Kashmiris in the worst miserable way, is not a new phenomenon in Kashmir but for the want of evidences Army would often negate the shameful incidents claiming it propaganda of antinational forces and Pakistani Agents”, he said

He said Beerwa incident has exposed New Delhi’s inhuman operations in Kashmir. Er. Rasheed appealed world community to wake up and stand by the human rights, self respect and dignity of Kashmiris which security forces have trampled in the valley.
