Expressing gratitude to the people for strengthening secular forces by voting against PDP-BJP coalition, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president GA Mir on Saturday said the ruling alliance is responsible for the deteriorating situation in the valley.
Commenting on the poll results, Mir, termed it as ‘the victory of secular and unifying forces in the State’, as the ruling dispensation (PDP BJP) backed by RSS is committed to implement their communal agenda in the State to meet their dirty political ends.
“Even the serious efforts were earlier made by PDP BJP to divide people on regional lines for the sake of securing votes, but today people have sent a clear message to communal and fascist forces, that they will not succeed in implementing their communal agenda in J&K State, rather they will be defeated miserably by the people”, he said.
Describing the defeat of PDP as defeat of BJP-RSS, Mir said people are scared of the ruling coalition in the State, which is responsible for the restlessness among the people not only in Kashmir, but in other regions of the State as well.
Meanwhile CLP Leader Nawang Rigzin Jora has asserted that the victory of Congress-NC joint Candidate amounts to victory of secular forces in the State. He said people have already rejected the communal agenda of PDP BJP Coalition and this by polls has proved that the day is not far when both PDP BJP will vanish from the State.
