The Director General of Police, S P Vaid Friday lauded the restrain showed by CRPF personnel who were heckled by a group of young men in Chadoora area of Budgam district.
Talking about video in which Central Reserve Police Force personnel were ‘hackled’ by youth, DGP Vaid hailed the restraint shown by the CRPF personnel.
He said, “Any armed force in the world would have retaliated with force.”
“We have registered a FIR in police station Chadoora against the ruffians who heckled the CRPF personnel. They will be dealt with as per law,” he added.
While talking about two videos that emerged after Lok Sabha elections for Srinagar constituency, Vaid said that a FIR stands registered against the solider who directly fired at a protester.
“A case has been registered in connection with that incident also. It is a matter of investigation and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty,” the DGP added.
