Timely action minimize fire damages

SRINAGAR: A residential house was damaged in fire incidents in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Saturday.
Fire broke out in a residential house of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, son of late Umer Bhat of Kalaros in Kupwara. The fire tenders from nearby fire station immediately swung into the action and brought the fire under control, a police official said.
“During the flames, a fire service personnel of the fire station Kalaroos, Masood Ahmad Peer (belt no 1577/FS) bravely jumped into the house and saved the valuable items”, he said.
Meanwhile, locals appreciated the action by department especially that of Peer, saying that had he not acted bravely, the damages would have been colossal.
