Baramulla: 2 cops injured in ‘attack by stone-pelter’

SRINAGAR: Two policemen sustained injuries in an assault on Saturday when they went to arrest an alleged stone-pelter in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
A police team was deputed to arrest a stone-pelter of Old Town Baramulla, a police spokesman said here.
He said when the police team approached to arrest him he attacked them with an iron weight and injured two constables.
One of the constables was seriously injured and has been referred to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Soura for further treatment, the spokesman added.
