Jalil Andrabi’s replacement yet to be found: Malik

SRINAGAR: Describing advocate Jalil-ul-Qadr Andrabi as “one of the pioneers of ongoing freedom struggle,” JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik Thursday said that “his replacement was yet to be found.”
“Besides being a worthy jurist, intellectual, he was a courageous person who always cared and worked for the betterment of society and even sacrificed his life in this way,” Malik said in a statement.
“Jaleel sahib worked tirelessly for the just cause of freedom and worked for safeguarding human rights of Kashmiris all over the world,” he said.
Malik said that the work done by Andrabi on international forums was unparallel and Kashmiris would always remember the great martyr for his sacrifices. “We are duty bound to continue the struggle for freedom that has been nourished by the sacred blood of our martyrs like Jaleel Andrabi”, he added.
Meanwhile a prayer meeting was held at JKLF head office Maqbool Manzil and other district offices in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Jaleel Andrabi. Special prayers and Quran Khwani was held on the occasion and JKLF leaders, activists and admirers of martyrs in large numbers participated in the prayer meetings. Special prayers were held for the martyrs and freedom movement on the occasion.
