Civic Action Progamme held Zewan Police Complex

SRINAGAR: Under its Civic Action programme, J&K Police’s 12th Battalion at Zewan Police Complex here Thursday distributed uniform and stationery items among the school children of Government Girls School and Government Boys School Balhama.
In a statement, a police spokesman said that besides students and staff members of the school, a number of prominent citizens and respectable people of the area and others were present on the occasion.
The items distributed include school uniforms, School Bags, Shoes, Track Suits, Note Books and other stationery.
The function was presided by DIG Armed/IRP North Kashmir Mushtaq Sadiq.
In his welcome address, Baqar Samoon Commandant JKAP-12th Battalion, welcomed the guests and school children and gave a brief detail about the “Civic Action Programme” organized by JKAP-12th Battalion Zewan.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG Armed/IRP North Kashmir welcomed the young school children and advised them to excel in studies and extra-curricular activities.
He assured the gathering that JK Police will continue to support the underprivileged students in their educational endeavors.
