LS polls 2014: Factsheet on JK

Srinagar: The 16th Lok Sabha elections would be held in six Parliamentary constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir on five poll days, namely April 10, 17, 24, 30 and May 17.
Polling will be held at 9,633 polling stations spread across 7,346 polling station locations. Out of the state’s total of 69,33,118 electors as on February 17, 2014, 30.74 per cent are in the age group 18-29 while women constitute 47.24 per cent. The poll expenditure limit per candidate for all constituencies in the state is Rs.70 lakhs, according to a Press Information Bureau (PIB) handout.
