SRINAGAR: Director, CAPD, Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan has said that sufficient stocks of foodgrains and other essentials are available in the godowns of Srinagar and other districts including K.Oil, Petroleum products and LPG.
Khan was addressing a meeting of CAPD officers here on Tuesday, convened to review the sotck and supply position of essentials in the Valley, according to an official handout.
He said, besides CAPD godowns, FCI has also stocked foodgrains sufficient till ending April this year.
He further said market checking squads have been constituted for checking the menace of hoarding and profiteering in the markets besides for ensuring timely and smooth distribution of essentials among consumers.
He said disturbances due to recent snowfall are over and every unit of CAPD has been strengthened to serve people better.
