Srinagar: A woman tried to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in south Kashmir.
Police said the woman consumed some poisonous substance at her home in Qazigund.
Family members immediately rushed her to a local hospital, from here she was referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in a critical condition.
It was not immediately clear why she took the extreme step, a police spokesman said, adding police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
