Srinagar: Hurriyat Conferenced(G)  chairman Syed Ali Geelani’s health has deteriorated   since Thursday night following worsening of a chest infection.
Geelani had gone to Escorts hospital last week for a checkup, Hurriyat(G)  spokesman Ayaz Akbar said,
adding that though the Hurriyat leader was unwell for the past few days , his chest infection worsened last night.
“Geelani sahib is finding it difficult to speak and eat. He has lost around 10 kgs of weight,”
“The central leadership of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat  discussed the health condition of Geelani sahib after he refused to be hospitalized. The issue will be discussed once again during a meeting today,” the spokesman said
The spokesman appealed all “freedom-loving” Kashmiri to hold special prayers  for  Geelani’s well-being.  “ We also request Geelani sahib’s well-wishers not to visit his residence till he fully recovers,” the spokesman said.
