SRINAGAR: A woman and her daughter were killed while her son was critically injured after they were hit by a vehicle on the outskirts of Srinagar, police said Thursday.
It said a Tata Mobile (No. JK13B-4208) hit and injured 50-year-old Tasleema, wife of Manzoor Ahmad Ganaie, her 7-year-old daughter Sofia Jan and son Tauseef Ahmad Ganaie at Dangerpora, Nowgam on Wednesday evening.
Tasleema and Sofia succumbed to their injuries on way to the hospital, the police said.
Police have arrested the driver Mushtaq Ahmad, of Akhal, Pulwama and seized the vehicle.
A case (FIR no. 16/2014 U/S 279, 337, 304A)  has been registered in this regard.
