Srinagar: Responding to state agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir’s comments of pro-freedom groups, Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani Sunday said that the Democratic Party Nationalist chief was an “agent” of the Indian army and intelligence agencies.
“This person is directly controlled by India’s secret agencies and is organizing public rallies with the funding of army and agencies,” the statement said, adding “He will be declared winner by New Delhi in any way whether people vote for him or not.”
The statement said that the pro-freedom group considers the speech of Mir, in which he targeted pro-freedom groups, as the dictation from the army and the secret agencies.
“New Delhi has raised army of traitors in the state who are helping the oppressors to kill and murder the innocent people,” the statement said, adding “Ghulam Hassan Mir is ring leader of Indian agents who are in direct control of the army.”
The statement said that Mir’s character was exposed from the revelations of India’s former army chief General V. K. Singh.
“He is an influential person, who despite being a lone member in the assembly, gets the portfolio and no government dears to reject him,” the statement added.
