SRINAGAR: Thirty ex-servicemen of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) will be seen again in action, but this time on the silver screen with this former group of the infantry regiment of the Indian Army playing their role in Haider-an upcoming Bollywood film starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu and Irrfan Khan.
“It was lovely to meet and chat with these men,” actress Shraddha Kapoor, according to one of the participant.
The shooting of the film was completed by February 24 with a large part of shooting of the film done in Srinagar since November last year. Vishal Bhardwaj appreciated the role of these ex-servicmen. He has reportedly assured J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that the film would have nothing to harm the local sensibilities and the political aspirations.
