Medicos appeal CM, PSC

SRINAGAR: A delegation of doctors whose result has been withheld by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) in its notification of select list for the posts of Medical Officers in Health & Medical Education Department dated 25 February 2014 have appealed chairman PSC to notify their results.
The doctors have also appealed the chairman to consider NRHM contractual appointments at par with other contractual appointments in the government.
“NRHM is the only available contractual system in health department and shall provide age relaxation to NRHM contractual candidates who have qualified the interview,” the doctors said in a statement.
The statement also appealed chief minister, Omar Abdullah, to intervene in the matter by granting age-relaxation to NRHM contractual doctors on tenure at par with other contractual appointees in the state as PSC has accepted their application forms along with NRHM appointment orders and considered them eligible for screening and interview.
“PSC cannot raise such issue after allowing them in screening test and interviews,” the statement added.
