Srinagar: An inmate of Central jail Srinagar died at the SMHS Hospital here on Friday, police said.
Mukhtar Bhat son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Bhat of Dalipora Pulwama was admitted to the hospital last evening after he complained of severe abdominal pain.
The deceased was arrested on September 19 last year in case FIR (259/2013) under section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Later, he was shifted to Central Jail Srinagar.
A senior doctor at SMHS, who operated upon the inmate, said Bhat died to due to acute Hemorrhagic Pancreatitis.
