Bhadarwah traders demand medical college

BHADARWAH: Traders’ Assocation Mandir Bazar here while welcoming the decision taken by Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to establish four Medical Colleges and two Cancer hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir has demanded for establishment of medical college proposed for Doda region at Bhadarwah.
President of the association while thanking Azad for allotting one Medical College to Doda region has expressed his concern over the representatives of Bhadarwah for observing silence over the issue as Bhadarwah deserves medical college the most due to its backwardness and vast area touching its boundaries to Himachal Pradesh, Kathua, Udhampur and Kishtwar. He said that the said Medical College is exclusive for Doda. He said that there is shortage of land in Doda and added that Bhadarwah has sufficient land available for construction of this proposed medical college.
Saraf said that Bhaderwah is a centrally located place well suited for the medical college in the Doda region.
