Afridi suffers minor injury

LAHORE: Pakistan’s flamboyant all-Rounder Shahid Khan Afridi suffered a minor injury after being hit with the ball on the face during practice match on Thursday.
Afridi, who alongwith his teammates, was playing a practice match as part of their preparation for Asia Cup to be held in Bangladesh, was hit on a cheek by a fast bowler Junaid Khan’s bouncer. The former captain’s cheek swelled, prompting him to leave the field slightly injured.
Later, head coach Pakistan team  Moin Khan informed media that Afridi was alright and had no severe injury. He said that batsman experienced  pain in his teeth and hoped the all-rounder  will be perfectly fine by tomorrow.
The training camp for Asia Cup 2014 started on February 18 to warm up the team for the upcoming event scheduled to start from February 25 at Bangladesh.
The camp will end on February 21 and the team will leave for Bangladesh on February 22.
